ಕಾರ್ಗಿಲ್ ಯುದ್ಧದ ಕಾರಣದಿಂದಾಗಿ ದೀರ್ಘ ಅಂತರದ ನಂತರ ಭಾರತವು 2004 ರಲ್ಲಿ ಪೂರ್ಣ ಸರಣಿಗಾಗಿ ಪಾಕಿಸ್ತಾನಕ್ಕೆ ಪ್ರವಾಸ ಕೈಗೊಂಡಿತ್ತು.ಆಗ ರಾಹುಲ್ ದ್ರಾವಿಡ್ ಮತ್ತು ವೀರೇಂದ್ರ ಸೆಹ್ವಾಗ್ ಭರ್ಜರಿ ಬ್ಯಾಟಿಂಗ್ ನಿಂದಾಗಿ ಪಾಕ್ ವಿರುದ್ಧ ಭಾರತ 2-1 ಅಂತರದಲ್ಲಿ ಗೆಲುವು ಸಾಧಿಸಿತು.
