Bankura is one of the 42 Lok Sabha constituencies in West Bengal. Voting in Bankura Lok Sabha constituency in the sixth phase was on May 12 and counting is on May 23.

Compared to 84.95 percent in 2014, this time 80.35 percent polling was recorded in eight seats in West Bengal.

Amiya Patra of Communist Party of India (Marxist), Mahadeb Bauri of Bahujan Samaj Party, Subrata Mukherjee of All India Trinamool Congress, Dr. Subhas Sarkar of Bharatiya Janata Party and Subhash Sarkar of Shivsena are few prominent candidates contesting for general elections 2019 from Bankura Lok Sabha Constituency of West Bengal.

In 2014 Lok Sabha election, Trinamool Congress's Moon Moon Sen had won the Bankura Lok Sabha constituency with a margin of 98506 votes.

Moon Moon Sen had bagged 483455 votes as against Communist Party of India Marxist candidate Basudeb Acharia who secured 384,949 votes. At the third spot was Bharatiya Janata Party's Dr. Subhas Sarkar with 251,183 votes.
