AP engineer accumulates assets worth Rs 50 lakh

Anti-Corruption Bureau (ACB) today unearthed assets worth more than Rs 50 lakh allegedly belonging to a Deputy Executive Engineer in neighbouring Ranga Reddy district.

The engineer, B Gnanam Goud, is posted in Panchayat
Raj Department at Qutubullapur Sub-Division of the district.

Searches were conducted at various places, including
office, residence and other premises of Goud, since this
morning, an ACB release said here.

So far assets valued at over Rs 50 lakh were
unearthed, it said, adding the market value of these assets is
estimated to be much higher.

These included one house, one flat, nine plots and 8.9 acres of of agricultural land. The searches also yielded 210
gms of gold, half kg of silver, household articles and bank
deposits. Two bank lockers are still to be checked, the
release added.
