New Delhi: Election to the lone vacancy in Andhra Pradesh Legislative Council will be held on November 04, the poll authority announced on Friday.
The election has been necessitated due to the resignation of former chief minister K Rosaiah who has since been appointed as Governor of Tamil Nadu.
Notification for the election would be issued on October 17 and the last date for filing of nominations is October 24. The nominations will be scrutinised on October 25 and the last date for withdrawal of candidature is October 27.
The result of the election is expected to be announced by the evening of November four, the poll date.
The term of the vacant seat is upto March 29, 2015.
