Senior RJD MLA Ramdas Rai died of renal failure at a hospital in New Delhi last evening, family sources said on Friday.

renal failure at a hospital in New Delhi last evening, family
sources said on Friday.

Eai, who was injured in a road accident while returning to
Patna from Chapra a fortnight ago, was 67.

Rai is survived by his widow, four daughters and a son.

Rai, a five-time MLA from Taraiya assembly constituency
in Saran, was recently shifted to a hospital in New Delhi
after his condition deteriorated at the Magadh hospital here
where he was admitted after the accident.

Chief Minister Nitish Kumar, state assembly speaker Udai
Narain Choudhary, besides RJD boss Lalu Prasad, his LJP
counterpart Ramvilas Paswan and leader of opposition in the
state assembly Rabri Devi condoled his death.

The body was likely to be brought here this evening for
cremation at Taraiya in Saran district.
