Sachin Tendulkar destined to score a century at SCG?

Sachin Tendulkar has an unmatched average of 221 from just four Tests at the Sydney Cricket Ground.

Zeenews Sports Bureau
Sydney: Sachin Tendulkar scoring his 100th century at the SCG during SCG’s 100th Test match – a perfect setting isn’t it?
But the figures show that the probability of the master making his century is very high in the Sydney ground where he has an unmatched average of 221 from just four Tests. This includes two centuries and a double century. SCG is one of his best averaged venues of the 59 venues he played. Tendulkar has only averaged better at Dhaka in Bangladesh and Mirpur in Pakistan. Apart from Tendulkar, Aussie Ricky Ponting too has a love affair with the ground. The former Australian skipper is the highest run scorer at the ground with a score of 1346. Also, with five tons in his pocket, he has the maximum number of centuries by any player at SCG. India’s VVS Laxman has scored three centuries there in as many Tests with a highest score of 178 and an average of 96. The second of the four-match Test series will begin at the SCG on Tuesday (January 3, 2012).
