New Delhi: Rashtriya Janata Dal (RJD) president Lalu Prasad Yadav launched a blistering attack on Bharatiya Janata Party`s (BJP) prime ministerial candidate Narendra Modi on Tuesday and said that even a butcher would feel ashamed to be compared with him. Lalu further questioned whether a person like Modi is suitable to be the prime minister of the country. "A butcher is also shy of Narendra Modi. Will this man become the PM of India?," he said. The comment by the RJD chief comes a day after Trinamool Congress (TMC) called Modi “the Butcher of Gujarat” after he alleged that TMC chief Mamata Banerjee`s painting was sold for Rs 1.80 crore. Modi`s claim was denied by TMC and Derek O`Brien, Trinamool spokesperson, wrote on party`s website, “The butcher of Gujarat could not take care of his own wife. How will he take care of this great nation?” Meanwhile, BJP came out in defence of Modi and termed Lalu`s comment as “shameless”.
