Cabinet reshuffle? Factors which may be taken into account by PM Modi

Delhi: Reports have been doing the rounds for some time now regarding Cabinet reshuffle that may be undertaken by Prime Minister Narendra Modi.

Now, after the BJP's national executive meeting in Allahabad, which concluded on Monday, speculation is rife whether the Union Cabinet will see new faces.

As per a report in Mail Today, if the reshuffle happens, some of the factors that may play a role are as follows -

- Number of new projects undertaken in the past two years. Those delayed may also be taken into account.

- The minister's performance in implementing proposals cleared by the Union cabinet.

- Also social media presence of the ministers.

- At the same time, their ability to communicate with other ministries can also be taken into account.

Reports had earlier said that Cabinet reshuffle could happen on or around May 19 and it was expected that a few new faces would be inducted and portfolios of some ministers would be reshuffled.

However, there has been no official indication about the same till now.
