Modi govt has hit hard on Delhi's power brokers: Naqvi

The Narendra Modi government has in the past one year hit hard on power brokers who were ruling the roost in Delhi, senior BJP leader and Union Minister Mukhtar Abbas Naqvi has said.

Bhopal: The Narendra Modi government has in the past one year hit hard on power brokers who were ruling the roost in Delhi, senior BJP leader and Union Minister Mukhtar Abbas Naqvi has said.

Addressing a media workshop of BJP's Madhya Pradesh unit here, Naqvi said this has sent "champions of corruption" into a tailspin and as a result they have formed a nexus against the Modi government.

"Power brokers were ruling the roost in Delhi's corridors of power. The Modi government has hit them hard and thrown them out of business," he said.

He said these people are now creating hurdles in the path of development through misleading and malicious campaign. "But the people of the country will not allow anybody to derail the development agenda of our government," he said.

The Union minister said the BJP-led government is a "government of clear vision and strong political will" and it is moving ahead to make India a prosperous and strong nation.

He said the Modi government, which completes one year in power on May 26, has been working with the agenda of development of all without any discrimination.
