Pakistan NSA's remarks immature and irresponsible, says Rudy

Patna: Union minister Rajiv Pratap Rudy on Monday said Pakistan National Security Advisor Sartaj Aziz`s recent remarks were both immature and irresponsible statement.

"I am sure the Foreign Office would be the best to respond to this. Having said that, it`s an immature statement, an irresponsible statement and it`s an insinuation," Rudy told ANI here.

"If people at that level make such utterances, there are hardly any words to indicate their mindset. This veiled threat is something which internationally would never be acceptable," he added.

Accusing "Modi`s India" of acting like a regional superpower, Aziz had said his nuclear-armed country was capable of defending itself.

The Pakistani NSA`s remark came after the cancellation of India-Pakistan NSA talks, scheduled for Monday, over New Delhi`s objection to his invitation to Hurriyat leaders for a meeting.
