"All the explosives were connected with wire and planted serially beneath Bandu road under Rania police station. While 23 IEDs weighed 10 kg, the rest weighed two kg," officiating Superintendent of Police, Amarnath Mishra told reporters here.

Extensive interrogation of an arrested Maoist, Sunil Kerketa, led to the discovery of the explosives, he said, adding the CRPF and the district police personnel unearthed the IEDs, which were defused later.
Kerketa was arrested recently at Bano in the neighbouring Simdega district.
