Warrant against JVM-P MLA Dhulu Mahto

A local court issued a warrant against Jharkhand Vikas Morcha MLA Dhulu Mahto in connection with an assault case.

Dhanbad: A local court on Wednesday
issued a warrant against Jharkhand Vikas Morcha (Prajatantric)
MLA Dhulu Mahto in connection with an assault case.

Chief Judicial Magistrate P K Upadhyay issued warrant
against Mahto after the Superintendent of Pataliputra Medical
College Hospital (PMCH), Dr Arun Kumar, lodged an FIR accusing
Mahto of assaulting at the ward when an opposition delegation
called on the injured patients on April 30.

Mahto was among the delegation which had been to PMCH to
enquire after the persons who were injured during a clash
between the police and the protesters of the anti-encroachment
operation at Matkoria in Dhanbad.

Mahto is facing charges under IPC sections of 353 (assault
or use of criminal force), 323 (voluntarily causing hurt), 341
(wrongfully restraining any person) and 504 (insult intended
to provoke breach of peace).

Indian Medical Association (Dhanbad chapter) president Dr
A K Singh told newsmen here, "We have put on hold our
three-phase strike----first one in PMCH, second in Rajendra
Institute of Medical Sciences, Ranchi and Mahatma Gandhi
Medical College Hospital, Jamshedpur and the third in all
government hospitals in Jharkhand----after the administration
assured us to arrest the MLA at the earliest."
