Mumbai: Local train services on central line hit

Mumbai: In what may cause discomfort to lakhs of Mumbaikars, track fault on the Central Railway lead to trains running late early on Friday.

The fault was reported between Kalyan and Kasara at 7 am today.

Although the tracks have been fixed but the glitch led to local trains running late on section the line which spreads from Chatrapati Shivaji Terminus to Kalyan and beyond till Kasara.

Gitanjali Express to Howrah was also held up due along the route.

Along with the Western and Harbour lines, the Central line forms the backbone of the suburban transport system in Mumbai.
