Vijayawada, Feb 27: Deputy Prime Minister and Union Home Minister L K Advani will kick-off the Bharatiya Janata Party's campaign for the approaching Lok Sabha and assembly elections, in coastal Andhra Pradesh today.
According to BJP state general secretary G Kishan Reddy, Advani will start his campaign with an address to an intellectuals' meet.

This would be followed by a political convention at Bhimavaram in neighbouring West Godavari district with the participation of coastal Andhra party workers, he added.

Noting that the state unit had short-listed the constituencies it was keen to contest in the coming elections, Reddy said senior leaders Pramod Mahajan and Arun Jaitley would finalise the number of seats for the party during the seat-sharing exercise with the TDP in early March.

On the number of seats the BJP wanted to contest, he said the party had expressed an interest to represent each district of the state.
