New Delhi: After Prime Minister in his sort of a virtual farewell speech attacked BJP`s prime ministerial candidate Narendra Modi saying he will be dangerous for the country, his comments got the backing of the Aam Aadmi Party which has ambitions to go on a national level and contest Lok Sabha polls. AAP leader Prashant Bhushan said, “I agree with Manmohan Singh that Modi will be dangerous for the country. He is not only communal but also as corrupt as the Congress and other political parties.” Targetted Modi on the issue of corruption, AAP`s pet topic, Bhushan said that the Gujarat chief minister didn`t cease corruption, adding on to say, “he made Lokpal weaker in the state.” After holding Modi responsible for “destructive politics”, Bhushan also attacked Manmohan Singh saying that history won`t be kind to this PM. “I don`t think history will be very kind to this prime minister who not allowed corruption to proliferate but also increase during his tenure.” In what could be said as his last press conference, the prime minister today pitched for Congress vice president Rahul Gandhi as prime ministerial candidate and said that he has outstanding credentials to be declared as party`s PM candidate. Manmohan clarified that he is not in the run for prime ministership if the UPA comes back to power. "I am confident that the new generation of our leaders will also guide this great nation successfully through the uncharted and uncertain waters of global change," he said.
