I`ve got a filthy sense of humour, says Harry Potter star Miriam Margolyes

Miriam Margolyes, who portrays the role of Professor Sprout in the Harry Potter films, has confessed that she shocks her ‘Coming Of Age’ co-stars with her ‘filthy sense of humour’.

London: Miriam Margolyes, who portrays the role of Professor Sprout in the Harry Potter films, has confessed that she shocks her ‘Coming Of Age’ co-stars with her ‘filthy sense of humour’.
The 68-year-old, who plays a randy old pensioner in the BBC Three comedy about an outrageous group of sixth form students living in Abingdon, also said that she gets on well with her young co-stars.
"I`ve got a filthy sense of humour and that hasn`t changed as I`ve got older and I think it gives them a sort of a buzz to see an old lady saying disgusting things," a news daily quoted Miriam as saying. "It`s just funny and fun, so I think the age gap worked in our favour and I think it`s very good to have an older person in a young person`s comedy because young people have got to know that there are old people in the world, they`ve got to face up to that fact," she added. The actress also revealed that she gets a thrill out of some of the shocking humour in the show. "I don`t think the scenes make me flinch, I think they shock me and then they delight me because we all like being shocked, it`s like a horror film, we all love being scared, well I love being shocked," she said.
