Bhupathi, Vikram, Chopra presented achievement awards

Mumbai, Nov 30: Indian tennis star Mahesh Bhupathi, television journalist Vikram Chandra, dance artiste Shiamak Davar and film maker Yash Chopra were presented achievement awards at a function here last night.

Mumbai, Nov 30: Indian tennis star Mahesh Bhupathi, television journalist Vikram Chandra, dance artiste Shiamak Davar and film maker Yash Chopra were presented achievement awards at a function here last night.
Naina Lal Kidwai walked away with the achievement in
business while Bhupathi and Vikram were presented award for
their achievements in the field of sports and communication.

Davar was presented the award for entertainment while
Chopra was honoured with the outstanding achievement award
for his contribution to Hindi films.

Titled the `Teacher's Achievement Award' and instituted
by Allied Domec Spirits, it aims at honouring individual merit
with the twin objectives of acknowledging excellence and
encouraging others to scale new heights, according to a
release here today.

Hosted by Sidhartha Basu and Manasi Scott, the award
function was interspersed with some poetry recitation by Kabir
Bedi and Louis Banks, a stand up comedy act by Boman Irani and
performances by Gary Lawyer and Sharon Prabhakar.
