Ahmedabad, Oct 16: A five-member Congress delegation is leaving for United States to project the ‘positive image’ of Gujarat after the Godhra riots.

is leaving for United States to project the ‘positive image’
of Gujarat after the Godhra riots.

Talking to newsmen here today, GPCC president Shankersinh
Vaghela said the situation in Gujarat was not as projected by
BJP and VHP in the country and in the world.

Vaghela said Hindus have not killed any Muslim in the
state, rather they have protected them from the forces
responsible for the riots.

The five member delegation besides Vaghela would include
Narihari Amin, one of the vice presidents of Gujarat Congress
unit, Naresh Rawal, AICC secretary from Gujarat and senior
Congress leaders Dr Manmohan Singh and Shivraj Patil.
