Home Secretary briefs PM-elect Narendra Modi about country`s security situation

With only a few days left for Narendra Modi to be sworn-in as India`s 14th Prime Minister, Home Secretary Anil Goswami on Monday met the PM-designate to brief him about the country`s current internal security situations.

New Delhi: With only a few days left for Narendra Modi to be sworn-in as India`s 14th Prime Minister, Home Secretary Anil Goswami on Monday met the PM-designate to brief him about the country`s current internal security situations.

As per the reports, Goswami is believed to have briefed Modi about steps being taken to check the terror activities and infiltration from across the border.

He also briefed him about situation in Jammu and Kashmir, Northeastern states and Naxal affected areas.

The talks also included matters regarding formation of a separate state of Telangana and the Delhi Assembly polls.

The BJP parliamentary party meet is scheduled for 11:30 tomorrow. All BJP CMs and senior NDA leaders would be present during the meeting when Modi will be formally declared as the NDA`s choice to be the next Prime Minister of India.
