Salem, Sept 15: The Karnataka government was persuading Palanichamy, brother of Tamil activist Kolathur
Mani, to go to jungles as an emissary to negotiate with forest
brigand Veerappan in its bid to release former minister H Nagappa from the brigand's captivity, Palanichamy's family
sources said.
Karnataka government had yesterday ruled out sending
Kolathur Mui, now in a Karnataka state jail, as an emissary.
Palanichamy's family sources told reporters at Uthiramparuthikadu, Palanichamy's village near here, today
that Palanichamy met his brother in the jail yesterday when
