Jaipur: The Rajasthan High Court on Wednesday
granted bail to model-actress Shweta Menon in a criminal case
relating to her catwalk on the ramp at a fashion show in 2004
when she had allegedly wrapped the national flag around on her
body indecently causing insult to the Tricolour.

Justice G S Saraf also asked Menon to surrender before a
sessions court in Alwar which had earlier rejected her bail
plea.

The court asked the model-actress to furnish two bail
bonds of Rs 15,000 each and a personal bond of Rs 30,000 for
securing her presence during hearing of the matter whenever
ordered by the concerned court.

An FIR was registered by the Sadar police station, Alwar
in connection with the incident in 2004.

Menon had moved an application for anticipatory bail in
connection with the case before the sessions court in Alwar
which however on December 14 last dismissed her plea.
