Munda takes charge of ministry of non-conventional energy

New Delhi, Jan 13: Former Union Coal Minister Karia Munda today assumed the office of minister of non-conventional energy sources.

New Delhi, Jan 13: Former Union Coal Minister Karia Munda today assumed the office of minister of non-conventional energy sources.
Munda met senior officers of the ministry and Indian renewable energy development agency to familiarise with the developmental programmes in rural and urban areas in solar, wind, remote village electrification, bio-mass power and co-generation sectors, an official release said here.

He was also briefed about the use of new technologies like hydrogen energy and bio-fuels and activities of the three specialsed technology institutes -- solar energy centre, Gurgaon, Centre for Wind Energy Technology, Chennai and National Institute for Renewable Energy, Jalandhar.
