Worried Douglas keeps Zeta-Jones’ bipolar issues a secret from kids

London: Michael Douglas and Catherine Zeta-Jones have chosen not to burden their two young children with their mother``s issues so soon after their dad``s illness, although Douglas worries they will find out through gossip at school.

‘Wall Street’ star Douglas beat the throat cancer in January but the Hollywood couple``s personal lives took another hit in April when the Chicago beauty was found to suffer from bipolar II. Doctors diagnosed the condition after Zeta-Jones checked into a mental health clinic to treat a severe bout of depression, brought on by the stress of her husband``s battle. "No, (they don``t know) yet. We gotta give them a chance, they``re just getting over the other issues,” the Daily Mail quoted Douglas as telling on U.S. talk show ‘The View’. "Of course the hardest part is not the kids at the school, it``s the parents of the kids, you never know how much they``re sharing (with their children)," he added. ANI
