Tight security arrangements for PM's Shimla visit

Shimla, Nov 29: Tight security arrangements have been made for Prime Minister Atal Bihari Vajpayee's visit to Harath village near Solan and Shimla on December one.

Shimla, Nov 29: Tight security arrangements have
been made for Prime Minister Atal Bihari Vajpayee's visit to
Harath village near Solan and Shimla on December one.

Vajapyee would land at Harath and after laying the
foundation stone for a heritage centre there, he would leave
for Shimla by helicopter. Security personnel have been
deployed in strength in and around Harath and the road from
Solan to Harath had been repaired, official sources said.

The Prime Minister would arrive at the Raj Bhawan at
Shimla after landing at Annandale helipad and meet the press
in the evening. He is also scheduled to attend the marriage
reception of chief minister P K Dhumal's son.

A high-level meeting was held here this evening under the
chairmanship of chief secretary Rajindera Bhattacharya to
review the security arrangements for the PM's
visit. The meeting was attended by senior police officers of
the state and central agencies.

This would be Vajapyee's third visit to Shimla after
assuming the office of the Prime Minister.
