Alleged supplier of arms to terrorists held

A man, who allegedly supplied arms to terrorists held recently in Punjab, was arrested here on Tuesday, police said.

Fatehgarh Sahib: A man, who allegedly
supplied arms to terrorists held recently in Punjab, was
arrested here on Tuesday, police said.

A resident of Batala in Gurdaspur district, he was
identified as Manjot Singh alias Moti, Fatehgarh Sahib SP
(Detective) Gurmeet Singh said.
A pistol, some live cartridges and 250-gm smack were
seized from him, he said.

Three Babbar Khalsa terrorists, arrested recently in
Punjab, had told police during their interrogation that arms
were supplied to them by Moti.

A case under various sections of the NDPS Act and the
Arms Act was registered against Moti, the SP said.
Moti, nabbed during checking of vehicles at Bus Stand
Ajnali, told police he had been engaged in drug business for
a long time.

He also told his interrogators that several cases had
been registered against him at different police stations, the
SP said.
