Rajasthan CM Vasundhara Raje meets EU delegation

 Rajasthan Chief Minister Vasundhara Raje on Wednesday met a delegation of European Union Parliamentarians and discussed ways of enhancing cultural and economic ties between both the sides.

Raje noted the long association of the state with the United Kingdom, France, Germany and other nations and emphasized on enhancing ties with the Balkan nations and the Netherlands.

The delegates led by EU Parliamentarian Geoffrey Van Orden later visited Bagru-based 'Jaipur Integrated Texcraft Park Private Limited' to check out the sustainable practices and the efforts made by members of the park.

They were shown the Central Effluent Treatment Plant, funded by the EU, where 80,000 litres of textile processing water?is saved everyday and were informed that the park has generated job for over 2,500 families and also trying to preserve the age old 'Sanganer Print' craft.

Pal Csaky, Member of Parliament from Slovania, Jacob Von Weiszacker from Germany, Neena Gill (United Kingdom), Cora Van Nieuwenhuizen (Netherlands) were some of the other members of the delegation.
