Pakistan: Gunmen kill four policemen in Quetta

In the past week, over 30 people have been killed in blasts and target killings in Quetta.

Islamabad: At least four policemen were killed and another was injured on Saturday when gunmen opened fire at a police vehicle in Pakistan`s southwestern city of Quetta, a media report said.

The incident happened at about 9.30 am when two motorcyclists opened fire at a police vehicle in Sariab road area of Quetta, the provincial capital of the country`s southwest province of Balochistan, reported Xinhua citing a TV channel.
The police vehicle was patrolling when it came under attack. The militants successfully escaped.

No group has yet claimed responsibility.

In the past week, over 30 people have been killed in blasts and target killings in the city.

On Thursday, 15 people were killed and over 40 injured in a blast targeting a seminary in the city.
