Six killed in eastern Pakistan; police suspect family dispute

Lahore, June 20: Gunmen riding motorcycles opened fire on a members of a family in Pakistan's eastern Punjab province, killing six people, including a woman, police said.

A 9-year-old boy was seriously wounded in the shooting yesterday in Kharian, about 150 kilometres northwest of Lahore, said local police chief Raja Munawar. No arrests were made.

The attackers were not identified, but Munawar said that he suspected a rival family with whom the victims had arguments in the past.
