Boycott wants restoration of international cricket in Pakistan

Islamabad: Former England batsman Geoffrey Boycott has said that he wants international cricket to return to Pakistan, as he would love to go back and watch cricket there.

According to The Daily Times, Boycott, who had a prolific playing career from 1962 to 1986, said he had always enjoyed playing cricket in Pakistan, against Pakistan and watching Pakistan. Talking about the ongoing Pakistan-South Africa series in the United Arab Emirates, he said conditions were much more helpful for Pakistan than for South Africa. He further said that the wickets were good in the UAE for batting but if you could start to get the ball to turn then Pakistan had a very good chance of defeating South Africa, the report mentioned. Speaking of the problems with Pakistan batsmen, Boycott said the problem with the Pakistan batsmen is that they would suddenly explode and do something daft and get themselves out by playing irresponsible shots, according to the report.
