"Who is Jayalalithaa to attack us on 2G scam when she is convicted in Tansi case"

Chennai: Dravida Munnetra Kazhagam MP Kanimozhi on Friday launched an attack on Tamil Nadu Chief Minister and AIADMK supremo Jayalalithaa while adding that her name in 2G scam will not effect her party's performance in the upcoming state assembly election. 

 "Jayalalithaa should not be talking about corruption. Who is she to target us on 2G when she has been convicted many times and convicted in the Tansi case?" TOI quoted Kanimozhi as saying. 

Kanimozhi, who addressed reporters in the city on Friday, accused the Tamil Nadu CM of not fulfilling her promises of proving 100 units of free power to each household as described in its poll manifesto. 

"How would Jayalalithaa keep her promise on free power when she has increased power tariff three times in the past five years. AIADMK has taken a copy of the DMK’s manifesto and pasted a sticker of the Chief Minister on it," she said. 

A central figure in the 2G scam, Kanimozhi is the daughter of DMK supremo Karunanidhi, She spent at least 6 months behind bars after being accused of benefitting illegally from the spectrum sale.

This time, AIADMK supremo Jayalalithaa has made 2G scam the main focus of her attack on the DMK party.
