Five SP leaders file Rajya Sabha nominations

Lucknow: Five Samajwadi Party leaders on Friday filed their nominations for the Rajya Sabha in presence of Chief Minister Akhilesh Yadav here.

Those who filed nominations this morning include Naresh Agarwal, Kiranmay Nanda, Darshan Singh Yadav, Brijbhushan Tiwari and Munawwar Saleem.

Actress and former MP Jaya Bachchan is also likely to file her nomination, party sources said.

SP, which has a strength of 225 (with one Independent MLA Raghuraj Pratap Singh alias Raja Bhaiya) in the House of 403 can send six members to the Rajya Sabha.
