Ghaziabad: After Vaishali, Ghaziabad will
have one more Metro link with Uttar Pradesh government on Thursday
saying that plans are afoot to build a corridor from Dilshad
Garden in the national capital to Mohan Nagar in Ghaziabad.
Uttar Pradesh Panchayati Raj Minister Swami Prasad Maurya
today made announcement in this regard after flagging off
the 3-km Metro link connecting Vaishali in Ghaziabad with
Anand Vihar ISBT this morning.

"In the second phase, the work is on to connect Dilshad
Garden to Mohan Garden," Maurya said.

This line, which is financed by Ghaziabad Development
Authority and Delhi Metro Corporation, will prove to be a mile
stone in the development of Ghaziabad, the minister said.

"The UP government is going to construct two high-tech
and seven integrated cities to address the housing needs of at
least 12 lakh people in Ghaziabad," Maurya said.
The Ghaziabad Development Authority has spent Rs 280
crores on this 2.57 km long line, Narendra Kumar GDA
Vice-President said.

From tomorrow, normal train services will commence at
06:00 AM from Vaishali Metro station.
