Foreign office minister Mike O'Brien said he had

light of the recent dreadful developments'' to urged tour
operators ``to stop arranging holidays there.''

``Foreign visitors remain a source of hard currency

private bank accounts of the generals and their associates,''
O'Brien said. Earlier this month, the government asked major
cigarette manufacturer British American Tobacco Plc to pull
out of Myanmar because of the southeast Asian country's human
rights record.
