Baghdad, Mar 15: Residents of central Baghdad heard a huge
explosion before midnight yesterday.
The cause of the explosion or whether it caused any casualties was not immediately known.
US military helicopters hovered over central Baghdad
immediately after the explosion.
Coalition Provisional Council spokesman had no information as to the place or cause of the explosion.
Baghdad was under tight security yesterday night with Iraqi
police patrols searching plying cars.
