New Delhi: After Kolkata, India's capital will get to share its moment with former football legendary icon Pele. 'The Black Pearl' will grace the nation's capital New Delhi on Wednesday.

The 75-year-old who has come to India for a week, will arrive here in the evening. The world's best ever player will be the special ambassador for the Subroto Cup final on October 16.

This is definitely the most glorious moment for Subroto Cup in its history of 56 years. This is the first-time ever that Pele would be visiting here.

Pele's three-day stay in Kolkata saw the former footballer felicitating members of the Mohun Bagan team which had played against him 38 years ago. Pele handed mementos and shawls, and took part in a chat session with former Indian cricket captain Sourav Ganguly. Academy award winning music composer A.R. Rahman and West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee were also present at the Netaji Indoor stadium.

It was a historic occasion at the gigantic Vivekananda Yuva Bharati Krirangan in Salt lake on Tuesday, as the 'King of football' attended the Indian Super League encounter between Atletico de Kolkata and Kerala Blasters FC.

The football loving city turned up in large numbers to watch their hero Pele alongside the match. Over 60000 fans were stated to attend the match in the evening.
