Aadhaar Card Update: 58 Seva Kendras out of planned 166 now functional

UIDAI plans to operate 166 ASKs in 122 cities throughout India. So far the establishment of 58 ASKs has been completed and they have started functioning. The ASK has a capacity to handle requests from 1,000 residents per day.

Aadhaar card holders Alert! UIDAI to open 166 Aadhaar update centres

UIDAI intends to open 166 single Aadhaar Enrollment and Update Centers in 122 locations. Aadhaar Seva Kendras (Model-A ASKs) in Model A can handle 1,000 enrollments and update requests per day. Aadhaar services are only available in Banks, Post Offices, Common Service Centers (CSC), Office of State Government Officers, and UIDAI-operated Aadhaar Service Centers.

It has been discovered that over 130.9 crore Aadhaar numbers have been generated in India to date. Out of the 166 planned Aadhaar Seva Kendras (ASKs), 55 are currently active, with over 52,000 Aadhaar enrolment centres run by banks, post offices, and state governments. The operating centres can handle up to 1,000 Model-A ASK enrolments.
