Indonesia announced to lift its palm oil export ban from May 23. The domestic cooking oil supply situation in the country has improved. Indonesia is the world’s top palm oil exporter.

DNA : 25% Edible Oil Impure

A survey was conducted by FSSAI i.e. Food Safety and Standards Authority of India between 25 and 27 August last year. In which more than 4 thousand samples of cooking oil were collected from across the country. These included both branded and open-sold oils. In this test, 24 percent of the samples did not meet the set standards.

Govt slashes import duty on refined palm oil to 12.5% to cool retail prices
