Paris Olympics 2024: Meet Indian Hockey Team Goalkeeper PR Sreejesh Retires

Former India captain and Hockey India president Dilip Tirkey hailed goalkeeper PR Sreejesh as the "God of hockey" for the national team. Sreejesh made several crucial saves, including in the penalty shootout, leading to a magnificent win over Great Britain in the quarterfinals of the 2024 Paris Olympics. The 36-year-old, a veteran of 328 International caps, including three Olympic Games, and multiple Commonwealth Games and World Cups, is playing his fourth Olympics in Paris.

15 nations, including India, in for FIH Home-and-Away League

The International Hockey Federation (FIH) on Wednesday announced that 15 National Associations, including India, have advanced in the selection process for the forthcoming global Home and Away League, beginning in 2019.
