Huge amount of explosives recovered in Manipur
Explosives recovered in huge quantities in Manipur. A 20 round M-79 grenade launcher has been recovered in Wbagai. Explosives have been recovered during the joint operation of Manipur Police and Assam Rifles. According to the information, explosives were found near a school.

Cowardly act of extremists in Manipur
An Assam Rifles Colonel, his wife, an eight-year-old son, and four soldiers were killed in an ambush by terrorists near the border with Myanmar in Manipur. The terror attack - one of the deadliest in the region in recent times - took place at 11 am in Manipur's Churachandpur district.

Who is Assam Rifles' Viplav Tripathi who sacrificed his life in Manipur ambush
Colonel Viplav Tripathi, who was martyred in an ambush in Manipur, was born in 1980. He went to the Sainik School Rewa (MP) after passing class V at a school in Raigarh (Chhattisgarh). While Colonel Tripathi's father is a senior journalist, his mother Asha Tripathi is a retired librarian.
