MP rains: Power restored in Bhopal; IAF to deploy chopprs for relief ops

Rains stopped in Bhopal on Tuesday and the power supply was restored after more than 24 hours in parts of the city, which had witnessed tree falls and traffic snarls over the last couple of days due to heavy showers and strong winds.

MP CM Chouhan takes aerial survey of flood-hit areas; 8 dead,over 7000 rescued

Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chauhan took an aerial survey of flood-affected areas in Vidisha on Sunday. Heavy rains pounded nine districts of the state, including Hoshangabad, Sehore, Chhindwara and Narshinghpur, leading to a rise in the level of the Narmada river at some places in the last two days. While more rains are expected in Indore, Ujjain, Shajapur, Ratlam, Dewas, Jhabua, Alirajpur, Mandsaur and Neemuch.

House collapses due to heavy rain in MP's Sehore; IAF rescues 60 people

A woman, identified as Ruksar Bi, died on the spot while three others were trapped under the debris of the collapsed house. The injured were later pulled out and taken to a hospital.
