Serum Institute of India fire: 5 killed, SII offers compensation to families

Serum Institute of India (SII) has offered compensation of Rs 25 lakh to families of persons who died in a fire at the company's premises in Pune. Five men died after a fire broke out in a five-storeyed under-construction building at the firm's Manj ari premises in Pune on Thursday.

SII fire: 5 charred bodies recovered from site; Covishield facility unaffected

The SII fire broke out where the BCG vaccine is made and the Covishield facility has not been affected, said, officials. So far, nine persons have been evacuated from the building in the SII's Manjari premises.

Massive fire breaks out at Terminal 1 gate of Pune's Serum Institute of India

The fire broke at the Manjari facility where the Covishield vaccine is made. The Covishield vaccine is being used in the national inoculation drive against coronavirus. The fire continues to rage at the fourth and fifth floors of SEZ3 building inside the Terminal Gate 1 of Serum Institute of India, Pune.
