Unlock 5.0: Centre extends guidelines issued in September till November
The Centre on Tuesday announced that the guidelines issued for re-opening in September during Unlock 5.0 will remain in force till November 30. The Ministry of Home Affairs (MHA) extended the guidelines for re-opening of activities outside the containment zones. The MHA said, "...extend the guidelines for re-opening, issued on 30.09.2020, to remain in force up to 30.11.2020."

Unlock 5.0: Cinema halls in Ghaziabad to not open today, here's why
Cinema halls in Ghaziabad will not open today. Confirming the development, the District Entertainment Officer said theaters will open a day later, i.e. from October 16. Theaters will be opened keeping in mind all the guidelines issued by the Ministry of Home Affairs.

Unlock 5.0: Punjab takes this major decision on reopening schools
As India entered the fifth phase of unlock, the Centre has given relaxations under which it has also allowed states to reopen schools from October 15. However, some states are still concerned about the reopening of schools as it can lead to an immediate acceleration in the number of coronavirus cases. The Centre's unlock guideline stated that all schools, colleges located outside COVID-19 containment zone can be reopened from October 15.

Amid the rising coronavirus COVID-19 cases in Madhya Pradesh, Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan has decided not to reopen primary and middle schools in the state for now. State Education MInister Parmar added that reopening schools for primary and middle classes amid COVID-19 pandemic are too risky. It may be recalled that Madhya Pradesh government has partially reopened schools for Classes 9 to 12 with limited students since September 21 amid strict adherence to COVID-19 guidelines.
