The results will decide the fate of 6,411 candidates. BJD candidates were leading in 73 civic bodies for the post of chairperson.

Odisha: Polling underway in 109 urban local bodies amid tight security

Voting will continue till 5 pm across 47 municipalities, 59 NACs (Notified Area Councils) and three municipal corporations. Over 40.55 lakh people are eligible to exercise their franchise in the general elections to the ULBs. Counting of votes will take place on March 26.

Congress in Rajasthan on Sunday managed to defeat BJP in ULBs elections. Congress registered win in 620 wards. The results for 1,775 wards of 50 ULBs in 12 districts were declared on Sunday.
