Uttarakhand: Bypoll to Almora’s Salt Assembly seat begins

The polling began at 7 am and will continue till 5 pm. 95,241 voters will cast their votes in the bypoll, out of which 48,682 are male and 46,559 female. Uttarakhand recorded the sharpest single-day spike of 2,402 new COVID-19 cases on Friday.

Bypolls in Uttarakhand and West Bengal will take place on November 25

According to an EC release, notification for the by-elections will be issued on October 30. The last date of filing nomination papers is November 6 and scrutiny of nomination papers will be completed on November 7.
