Zomato honours agent who drove 10 km in rain to get medicines for sick baby

Jithin Vijayan of Kochi, Kerala, drove 12 kilometres in torrential rain to deliver a late-night lunch order. He had to drive another 10 kilometres through the night to do so. Shivaji Balaji Pawar was recognised for 'Going Above and Beyond.'

Zomato reinstates employee who said 'Hindi is our national language'

Vikash revealed the incident when he tweeted about his interaction with a customer service representative after a miscommunication regarding his food order. People took to social media after Vikash's tweet about his bad experience went viral, slamming the meal delivery app for the executive's dumb remarks. Imposition of Hindi in the southern region of the country has been a major concern in recent years.

Zomato gets IPO listing, Here's a quick look at the startup’s topsy-turvy ride

Zomato is planning to raise Rs 8,250 crore and offering Rs 72-76 per share with multiples of 195. Zomato's FY20 revenue had jumped over two-fold to $394 million (around Rs 2,960 crore) from the previous fiscal. In February, Zomato had raised $250 million (over Rs 1,800 crore) in funding from Tiger Global, Kora and others.
