Caught on camera: UP man thrashes, kicks old woman on road

NEW DELHI: An old woman in Uttar Pradesh's Bareilly was brutally thrashed by a man in the middle of a road. In a video shared by news agency ANI, the middle-aged man is seen hitting the woman and pushing her to the ground.

The brutal act was captured on a CCTV camera. The identities of both the woman and the man have not been ascertained yet.

According to police, the video footage is being examined. The accused has not been identified yet. The UP police, however, have assured that the accused will be arrested soon.

"Video footage is being examined and accused will be identified. Once he is identified, we will arrest him," UP police said.

As per the CCTV footage, the incident took place on February 7 at around 8 pm.

The 33-second clip shows the man kicking the old woman and slapping her repeatedly.

He pulls her up from the ground and slaps her again while passersby watch the act of brutality.
