Uma Bharti says Jyotiraditya Scindia could have been real threat to BJP

New Delhi: A day ahead of the big results of the Assembly Elections in four states, the Bharatiya Janata Party vice-president Uma Bharti on Saturday openly accepted that Jyotiraditya Scindia could have been a real threat to BJP. During an interview given to an English news channel, Uma Bharti said, "Jyotiraditya Scindia is better than Rahul Gandhi, whatever he did is on his own merits." "I didn`t want to say this during campaigning but now it is over so I can say it... I like Jyotiraditya Scindia. He has much better capacity than Rahul Gandhi," she added. When asked about the chances of BJP returning to power in Madhya Pradesh, she said, "For 5 years, I have never seen Shivraj Singh Chouhan sit peacefully. His hard work is his USP." While dismissing the presence of Congress vice-president Rahul Gandhi in the poll-bound states, Bharti said, "Rahul has no experience in politics and governance, while Modi has both in abundance." "The Narendra Modi effect can be seen everywhere," the senior BJP leader added.
