LG unveils V10 smartphone with dual-screen, 4GB RAM in Korea

South Korean electronic major LG has launched Android smartphone V10 with dual screen and camera. The phone also boasts of large storage and quick charge, and expects to arrest a slide in smartphone marketshare with the launch.

SEOUL: South Korean electronics manufacturer LG has launched V10, a dual screen smartphone with camera.

The LG V10 will be run on Android 5.1.1 Lollipop, and will have a main 5.7-inch QHD IPS display. The second 2.1-inch IPS Quantum display will display weather, time, date, and battery. Designed in steel and silicone skin, the phone will have Qualcomm Snapdragon 808 Processor with 4GB RAM and 64GB internal storage. Users can even install microSD card of up to 2TB to create extra storage space.

The V10 features a 16MP rear camera and 5MP front camera. The smartphone's front camera is equipped with a standard 80-degree lens and a 120-degree wide-angle lens option enabling a larger group to fit into a selfie shot.

The smartphone is powered by a robust 3,000mAh removable battery with quick charge technology. It will be available in Korea starting October, followed by markets such as the US, China and key countries in Asia, Latin America and the Middle East.

The company has launched the phone in multiple colors which will be available in Space Black, Luxe White, Modern Beige, Ocean Blue and Opal Blue color options.
The V10 phone will go on sale in South Korea later this month for USD 678 without a contract from a carrier, followed by the US launch in November.
