Christie Brinkley pledges to settle tax debt

London: Former supermodel Christie Brinkley has vowed to settle her USD 500,000 tax debt insisting that she regrets not paying attention to her finances.

The 57-year-old topped the list of non-tax payers issued by the America`s Internal Revenue Service (IRS) earlier this month. "I was surprised to learn of the tax lien filing and took immediate steps to rectify this matter. I discovered the tax lien was the result of an error," Brinkley told tmz.com. "My taxes will be paid in full by Wednesday, December 7th and I expect the tax lien to be released immediately thereafter. I regret not paying more attention to my accounting," she added. IANS
