At least 68% voter turnout was recorded till 5:00 pm in the single-phase Uttarakhand assembly elections.
Earlier in the day, polling in Karnprayag was suspended due to the death of Bahujan Samaj Party (BSP) candidate.
Voting will now be held on this seat on March 9, an Election Commission official told media.

According to the Election Commission, Champawat saw two percent voting, Haridwar witnessed nine percent and so did the state capital Dehradun.
Polling in Uttarakhand is going on at a brisk pace with around 24 percent of the electorate exercising their franchise by 11 am. Haridwar district, where a maximum of 11 seats are located, has registered the highest poll percentage of 28 percent, followed by Udhamsingh Nagar district with 27 percent polling.
Yoga guru Baba Ramdev casts his vote at polling booth no 106 in Haridwar. "I appeal to people to venture out in large numbers and vote. Karo vote par chot, mitao prajatantra ka khot (vote for clean democracy), this is what I say to people," the yoga guru tells reporters after casting his vote.

The highest polling station is in Yamunotri at 9,800 feet above sea level. Heavy security deployment has been made at all the polling stations with CRPF being deployed at 1,285 polling stations.
Videography is being done at 221 places while photography of the poll process is being done at 2,012 polling centres along with webcasting at 197 places.
A total of 1,409 polling stations have been put in the very sensitive list while 1,424 have been marked as sensitive.
Dehradun has the maximum number of polling stations (1,725) while Rudraprayag the least with 312.
Chief Electoral Officer Radha Raturi informed that there are 10,685 polling stations in the state of which 460 are in the hilly snowy regions while 287 are in shadow areas.
Postal ballots will be received till March 11 morning, the day of vote counting.
